Update

Unique features of a Seldén Squib mast include:

  • Manufactured from 3525 section: - specifically developed for maximum performance for the Squib class.
  • Bead peened finish: - our purpose built bead peening machine cuts out inconsistencies due to traditional hand abrading cleaning techniques, greatly improves fatigue properties of the alloy, and gives a superb consistent matt satin finish.
  • New layout: - developed in consultation with Parker Yachts the established Squib builder.
  • Top quality fittings include super-strong investment cast stainless gooseneck, free swinging adjustable length spreaders and “ertalyte” self-lubricating hard wearing sheaves throughout.

The mast is complemented by the 2632 boom section, which has the unique strength for weight characteristics necessary to achieve absolute mainsheet and kicker control.

Boom features include:

  • Inboard and outboard boom end including ball sheave for outhaul.
  • Unique boom slides, which allow direct attachment of mainsheet blocks for efficient centrelining in light winds.
  • Choice of outhaul led into boat or cleat on boom.

Spinnaker pole is tapered from our 42mm drawn tubing guaranteeing minimum weight for maximum stiffness.
