The Star class is one of the toughest classes in the world. Every detail of your boat, your trim and your tactics has to be perfect to win.

Freddy Loof is a man who pays attention to detail. His coaching rib is a 5.5 metre rib, but this one weighs just 60kg! Where can I get one!!

He chose Nexus instruments for his coach boat because he needed accurate information in order to analyse his performance in training and racing. For this he used the Nexus processor linked to his PC and a multi display, and fed by the HPC compass, 16 channel GPS, log depth and the Nexus Wireless wand (easy to spot with it's distinctive twin fin).

This lets him analyse wind strength and shifts over the course, tide rate and drift accross the course allowing him to be in the right place and the right time whilst racing. Freddy is overwhelmed by the performance of the Nexus system, how easy it is to use and it's accuracy.
