allspars have recently finished completely upgrading all of the sail handling systems on a Swan 53, this was carried out in several stages over the last 12 months.

Our first job was to fly out to the South of France to fit a Furlex furling system for the staysail and a pair of Andersen electric primary winches.

The boat was then sailed from the Med to Plymouth for the next stage of the upgrades - The mast was unstepped and the old Harken batten car track was removed, a new Furlerboom was then fitted, along with several running rigging upgrades.

The final piece of the jigsaw was fitted recently in the Hamble, a custom Seldén carbon fibre bowsprit was fitted, along with a custom made bow ring, this in conjunction with her new sails and Karver top down furler for the cruising chute have transformed "Skorpious" into a short handed sailors dream.
